This month’s session will center on Positioning Yourself for Success in Today’s Job Market—covering culture fit, smart networking, partnering with recruiters, optimizing LinkedIn, owning your story (including gaps and pivots), and standing out in a competitive market.

We’ll be joined by special guest Hope Rana McCutcheon, who will kick off the conversation with practical insights before we move into small-group breakout discussions.

Special Guest: Hope Rana McCutcheon

Hope McCutcheon is the founder of C’Ville Capital Partners, a boutique recruiting firm that connects exceptional talent with growth-oriented companies. A UVA alum with degrees in Cognitive Science and Psychology, Hope brings a rare combination of behavioral insight, business strategy, and people expertise to her work.

She spent 12 years in commercial banking—seven as VP of Commercial Lending—before moving into corporate recruiting. This cross-industry background gives her deep insight into how organizations operate behind the scenes and what it truly takes to hire (and be) the right talent. Over the past eight years, she has established herself as a trusted partner to founders and executives navigating hiring, organizational growth, and culture development.

Hope is also an active leader in the Charlottesville innovation ecosystem, serving as Secretary of the Charlottesville Business Innovation Council, leading the C-E2 entrepreneurship series, and mentoring new entrepreneurs for more than 20 years. She’s passionate about empowering people professionally and personally. When she’s not working, she’s writing, exploring local coffee shops, traveling, or enjoying life in Charlottesville with her teenagers and toddler.
