DESCRIPTION:Join fellow alumni for an hour of industry-focused networking\, hosted by the Media\, Entertainment & Sports Alumni Professional Network. This session will explore How AI Is Transforming Media\, Entertainment & Sports Careers—from content creation and storytelling to production\, analytics\, fan engagement\, and the skills employers are prioritizing as technology reshapes the industry. We’ll be joined by special guest Isabel Monteith (Col class of ’10)\, who will kick off the conversation with real-world insights on how AI is showing up in creative and business roles today\, followed by interactive small-group breakout discussions focused on staying adaptable\, relevant\, and future-ready in a rapidly evolving landscape. \nIsabel (Lampton) Monteith (Col class of ’10) is a Principal Recruiter at NBCUniversal\, where she’s spent over a decade helping build teams across the company’s diverse portfolio of Entertainment\, News\, & Streaming brands. A 2010 graduate with a degree in English Literature\, she began her HR career in New York City with stints in advertising\, magazine publishing\, and fashion before landing at NBCU in 2014. Since then\, she has reviewed thousands of resumes\, filled hundreds of roles\, but still can’t get tickets to Saturday Night Live. \nShe recently relocated back to Charlottesville with her husband\, adorable toddler\, and even more adorable rescue pup\, Theo. \n\n
