Meet the Mentors

Harper D. (Col class of ’29)
Falls Church, Virginia

Harper is from Falls Church, Virginia, planning to major in Speech Communication Disorders in the School of Education with a general business minor from the McIntire School of Commerce.

Eliza G. (Com class of ’28)
Arlington, Virginia

Eliza is from Arlington, Virginia, and is a double major in Commerce and Behavioral Neuroscience. When she is not studying, she spends her time as a Dean’s Development Ambassador, coach at [solidcore], research assistant, member of the UVA Hellenic Society, and member of Kappa Kappa Gamma.

Ryan, G. (Engr class of ’29)
Oakton, Virginia

Ryan is from Oakton, Virginia, and is majoring in Electrical engineering, and minoring in engineering business and data science. He is a part of UVA Club Poker, an Intermural referee, and a member of UVA Club Shooting.

Avery L. (Col class of ’28)
New York, New York

Avery is from New York City and is double majoring in Global Public Health and Psychology. Outside of class, Avery interns with the Office of Undergraduate Admission, is a member of the Club Ultimate Frisbee team (Hydra), and a sister of the Chi Omega sorority. In addition, she involved in Outdoors Club adventures, Jewish community events, and various intramural sports. Outside of UVA, Avery is the founder of Celiac Chat, a virtual mentorship program for kids, teens, and young adults newly diagnosed with celiac disease.

Reese L. (Engr class of ’29)
Newtown, Connecticut

Reese is a Systems Engineering student and Engineering tour guide from Newtown, Connecticut. She loves math and science but outside the classroom you can find her practicing photography or going on an outdoor adventure.

Madeline M. (Col class of ’29)
Midlothian, Virginia

Madeline is from Midlothian, VA, and plans to major in Economics. During her free time she is a part of College Mentors for Kids, a member of ADPi, and enjoys attending UVA athletic events.

Zach P. (Com class of ’27)
Danville, Virginia

Zach is from Danville, Virginia, and is majoring in Commerce. Some of his other involvements outside of College Compass include Class Council and Wahoops, where he serves as Co-Head of Account Management. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports, playing pickleball, and refereeing soccer games.

Averell S. (Engr class of ’26)
Hampton, Virginia

Averell Stith is from Hampton, Virginia, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He loves listening to music, riding his motorcycle, and playing video games. He is also an executive member of a club that he helped found.

Sahil S. (Col class of ’29)
Fairfax, Virginia

Sahil is from Fairfax, Virginia, and is planning to major in Data Science and Statistics. Outside of academics, he is a member of Club Swim Team, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society club, and Indian Student Association.

Joe T. (Engr class of ’28)
Fairfax, Virginia

Joe is from Fairfax, Virginia, and is studying Aerospace Engineering with a minor in business. Outside of class, he is involved in Virginia Motorsports and Greek life, and serves as a firefighter with Albemarle County at Station 8 on Seminole Trail.
