Oder and gray-haired, I am looking forward to meeting the fossils from school (40 years!!!) and previous alumni reunions. I moved from VA to PA 10 years ago and I don’t get to visit the Grounds too often.

In the picture, I am the one in bunny ears just before walking down the lawn in 1987.

The Three Amigos Reunited

Donna Weingart ( School of Education ‘71) and Frederick (Rick) Greene (A&S’66, MED ‘70) met at a mixer in October 1969 at Alumni Hall. We always loved to show our children, grandchildren and friends the exact spot wheee we met!! Now back on Grounds to celebrate Rick’s 66th Reunion from the College. Great memories!!

Celebrating BGPSOs 10th Anniversary with all the grad students we created a mural and drew an entire poster for all to sign. It made us grad and professional students truly feel connected. Then we came to our first BAW a few years later and celebrated in true wahoowa style.

In 2012, there was an Obama rally in Charlottesville. My friend Nikardi and I wore our UVA gear. We were in line and asked if we were students. When we said yes, were chosen to sit right behind President Obama on stage. We were so excited and were able to get some great pictures. It was especially memorable because it was the first Presidential election I was able to vote in.

I lived in Munford as a first year at UVA. I had the best hallmates and this is one of those random moments we were hanging out in my dorm, and someone snapped a picture. Miss it so much!

Final Exercises UVA 2001. Walking the Lawn. I remember thinking how did 4 years fly by so quickly! And the feeling of walking down the Lawn with everyone was exhilarating!

I remember a wonderful, beautiful day that graduation of 1986. I was not sad, because I knew I would be staying at UVA for another 4 years to attend medical school. I was not thinking that day about where my parents would find parking or other crucial details. Somehow, they were right where they needed to be for the ceremony! I see photos of current UVA graduations with all the colorful balloons! I would definitely have been a fan if someone had only thought of balloons back when we graduated!

This is a photo of Mark (Col class of ’86) and Carolyn (Boggs) Patrick (Col class of ’88) in Dabney 2nd Right on Carolyn’s birthday. Married in 1988 following Carolyn’s graduation, we both served in the Navy (via UVA NROTC) and in August 2026, will have been married 38 years. Two of our three adult children are also UVA graduates, and we now live near Charlottesville, having chosen Central VA as forever home!

Shawn, Dan, Zach, Dan, Ivan, and Hank still supporting UVA Athletics floor side at a basketball game 20 years later thanks to Zach’s generous donation to the program. All of them graduated in the class of 2005.

Taylor, Todd, Jamie, Shawn, and Jack all lived in Page Old Dorms 1st year. Four years later, they walked Lawn to graduate from UVA, saying goodbye to 4 of the best years of their lives.

Shawn Roe and Drew Cohan were 1st year roommates in old dorms. Their hall mates formed a crew and called themselves PFL for Page First (floor) Left (side). They’d write PFL on the whiteboard outside of O Hill cafeteria to let their friends know if they were eating there. And at the Tom Deluca show back in 2001, Shawn and Drew wrote PFL on their arms. Proud Hoos and hall mates from day 1—and still good friends today.
