Virginia Pep Band Class of 2001
I thought I was done with band until I made a last-minute decision to join the Virginia Pep Band, but it turned out to be one of my most valuable college experiences. We traveled all over the country to support UVA’s sports teams, had a blast playing music to entertain the crowds, and made lifelong friendships. The student leadership experience in the band was unique and taught me strategic lessons I still use today. Thanks, Virginia Pep Band!
1984 Roommate Party
In 1984, my Lambeth roommate Anne Bryan (now Foss) and I attended a “come as your roommate party.” The idea was that you dressed in the style of your roommate. Anne, on the left is wearing my usual “party uniform” and I’m wearing her usual outfit.
Anne and I are roommates again for our Class of 1986 reunion, sharing a room at the Virginia Guesthouse!

40th year reunion!
Oder and gray-haired, I am looking forward to meeting the fossils from school (40 years!!!) and previous alumni reunions. I moved from VA to PA 10 years ago and I don’t get to visit the Grounds too often.

Met in a mixer in Alumni Hall in 1969 and now married for 56 years
Donna Weingart ( School of Education ‘71) and Frederick (Rick) Greene (A&S’66, MED ‘70) met at a mixer in October 1969 at Alumni Hall. We always loved to show our children, grandchildren and friends the exact spot wheee we met!! Now back on Grounds to celebrate Rick’s 66th Reunion from the College. Great memories!!
Mural Anniversary
Celebrating BGPSOs 10th Anniversary with all the grad students we created a mural and drew an entire poster for all to sign. It made us grad and professional students truly feel connected. Then we came to our first BAW a few years later and celebrated in true wahoowa style.

Sitting on stage with President Obama
In 2012, there was an Obama rally in Charlottesville. My friend Nikardi and I wore our UVA gear. We were in line and asked if we were students. When we said yes, were chosen to sit right behind President Obama on stage. We were so excited and were able to get some great pictures. It was especially memorable because it was the first Presidential election I was able to vote in.
